Multiple reasons could explain that. Let’s take shonen as example. First, you are growing old so even if you do not noticed, the more time pass, the more you become more accustomed to the bullshit so you ain’t buy a new copycat manga even if it is trending every week on Twitter. Then, notwithstanding Ai progressed so that it could write you a book, a memoire or maybe this article, there is no semantic formula to create a good shonen. Finally, If there are so much shonen launched every year, it is because they desperately try to find a new **Dragon Ball**, a new **Jojo's Bizarre Adventure**, a new **One Piece**. But it is not happening, mostly because despite manga magazine editors find talented mangaka every day, it is not because you are talented that you will create a successful manga. It will remind you that a good manga look like an ufo. It is weird, it is not the best drawing, the story is blurry but the atmosphere is unique. There is no world without an atmosphere. There is nothing more difficult than create an atmosphere so it is easy to understand why good mangas are quite rare.
